"I do not recommend seeing this doctor. I went to him about frequent stomach pains I was having, so painful they were waking me up in the middle of the night. The pain was so bad I would often vomit. Each time he would read the description in his laptop of what I told him about my illness, an important detail would be forgotten or misquoted. Even my name was spelled wrong in the office's system. He ended up telling me the problem was all in my head. I made sure to get a second opinion. A nurse practitioner solved the mystery of my stomach pain in minutes. I went through the motions of the appropriate tests, and the NP was 100% correct. It was H. Pylori, a bacteria that causes ulcers when aggravated. My symptoms were only going to get worse and interfere with my daily life even more over time, and could have become fatal without proper treatment. "Dr" Barasch never even mentioned that an ulcer may be the culprit of my illness. I do not believe he is a competent or caring doctor."
